Dedicated to my mother. This is one of the first poems I wrote that made me believe I could be a poet. Written on the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain, tucked in the mountains where I stayed in solitude for a few short months, doing nothing but writing, hiking, and reading. This poem is an evolution of my grief, loss, and never-ending connection I have with my mother formed through the love that we both share. Designed in my mothers favorite color : purple.
